U.S. Government Broadcast Network Expands With International Datacasting

Worldwide satellite network connects agencies securely

In order to expand its satellite broadcast network, the U.S. government has chosen digital content distribution company International Datacasting to supply additional SuperFlex Pro Data receiver/routers that will be a part of a centralized broadcast network. The network will distribute encrypted data files and live streams to remote U.S. government agencies worldwide.
IDC’s receivers provide a high level of decryption, says Del Lippert, the company’s interim CEO and chairman of the board. The security and reliability of this receiver is evidenced by its continued deployment at installations that depend on the equipment to remain operational, so the “system simply cannot fail,” he said.
The IDC solution enables the agencies to receive Internet protocol content via a secure and encrypted satellite link. The networking solution also enables distribution over the local area network, the company says.
