Blackmagic Updates Production Camera 4K, ATEM

Both updates are now available

The new multi-view look from the ATEM Switcher 6.9 update.

FREMONT, CA–Blackmagic Design has announced updates for two of its signature products: the original Blackmagic Production Camera 4K and two of its ATEM Switcher models.

The ATEM switcher 6.9 update is available for free on the Blackmagic Design website and is available for all ATEM Production Studio 4K models and ATEM 2 M/E Broadcast Studio 4Ks. It adds a multiview output feature that can be customized, adjustable VU meters and the ability to swap program and preview windows.

For ATEM 2 M/E Broadcast Studio 4K models, the update adds rotational DVE functions, giving users the ability to provide video quality up to 2160p/60.

The 3.4 update applies to all original Blackmagic Design Production Camera 4K’s.

The Blackmagic Production Camera 4K 3.4 update is also available for free on the Blackmagic Design website and the new version now applies to all original Production Cameras 4K (previously this update was only applicable for newer cameras like Blackmagic URSA and URSA Mini).

The new update adds support for an SDI start/stop record trigger, so external video recorders can automatically start and stop recording in tandem with the camera. Another new feature to the update includes SDI RP-188 timecode output support for outputting a camera’s timecode with SDI. It allows users to record files with the same exact timecode on both their camera and an external recorder.
