As virtual reality becomes more popular and the technology continues to improve, could it serve as a new type of vacation?

There's nothing better than getting away from the office and putting your toes in the sand on a beautiful summer day at the beach. Or traveling to a different country and experiencing new cultures. We all look forward to those vacation experiences. But what if you could have those experiences without actually having to leave your couch?

"360 VR can also work with bodies such as the tourism industry to give audiences realistic samplings of certain adventures or experiences," she continues. "Providing the consumer with a better understanding of what they might hope to see or experience in turn drives the decision-making process."
