New VR Telescope Lets You Time Travel to 1600s Paris

A new publicly available VR telescope called Timescope has been installed near the 

Pont d’Arcole bridge in Paris, allowing passers-by a 360-degree glimpse at the very streets surrounding them as they appeared in 1628.

, "By looking into the machine, which is free to use, you’ll see the cargo barges and fishing trawlers that once crowded the busy river. Point the telescope in a different direction, and see 17th-century architecture and streets built for carriages instead of Citroëns."
