A new report from UBS claims that 42% of millennials have created a live video while 63% of all users have watched a live video. The study also shows the shift from YouTube to Facebook Live in a matter of months. In June, 21% of respondents who’d seen a live video had seen it on YouTube, ahead of other platforms. But by November, Facebook Live dominated with 17%, while YouTube was at 16%.
“Facebook’s investments in live video are paying off,” says, eMarketer’s senior analyst Paul Verna. “The data points to a fluid market in which Facebook is emerging as the leader.”
