Viceland and Samsung Will Debut VR Documentary 'The White Helmets' Next Week

Samsung and Viceland present The White Helmets, a virtual reality documentary about the heroic group of volunteer Syrians who rush to bombing sites in hopes of rescuing bystanders. The film will debut on on December 10th and be available to view via Samsung VR. It was also filmed with the Samsung Gear 360 camera.

"With The White Helmets, which was shot with Samsung Gear 360, the viewer is an active participant in the experience as opposed to a passive observer, and this newest piece of content gives the viewer a new perspective on how technology can enhance journalism," says Samsung CMO Marc Mathieu.
