Inside the BBC’s First Full 360-Degree Show

BBC’s technology show Click became the network’s first show to be fully produced and transmitted in 360 degrees. The show features segments on the Large Hadron Collider–offering never-before-seen views of the world’s largest machine–as well as a video game review and a magic trick.

“What we and other 360 producers are doing is the equivalent of the first grainy attempts at film over a century ago,” producer Stephen Beckett explains. “Many of the problems that we wrestled with will probably be solved by the next generation of kit and software. And the more people make things, the more we’ll all discover about what works best in this new 360 world.”
