‘Dreams of Dali’ Creators Explain How They Made Stepping Into a Painting Possible

Ever wanted to live inside a Salvador Dali painting? The creators behind Dreams of Dali make that a reality–virtual reality, that is.

The experience, created by Goodby Silverstein & Partners’ creative directors Sam Luchini and Roger Baran, is available to view as an immersive full VR experience at the Dali Museum or in part as a YouTube 360-degree video (found below). In it, users can fully explore one of the great surrealist’s paintings like never before.

“We didn’t want to recreate what Dali painted,” Luchini tells The Drum. “We’ll never be able to recreate his brushstrokes, but we can at least take a peek of his imagination when he painted it.”
