’10 Cloverfield Lane’ Sends Eagle-Eyed Viewers on a Puzzling Journey

2008 monster movie Cloverfield had one of the cleverest, most in-depth viral marketing campaigns in recent memory and now it looks as if its sequel, 10 Cloverfield Lane, will take up that mantle.

The perfectly mood-setting first trailer for the film depicts what looks like a family game night turning into something much more sinister. Clever viewers spotted the Swamp Pop soda found in the trailer and found some interesting clues within the soda company’s website that led to “customer service” emails and even actual puzzle pieces.
