Nielsen Adds Facebook to Social Content Ratings

A little over two years after starting to measureTwitter conversations as part of its TV ratings, Nielsen has added Facebook to its expanded Nielsen Social Content ratings.

The new service will measure TV-related conversations on both platforms, looking at posts, engagement, reach, audience, and demographics. ““TV networks and streaming content providers can assess the effectiveness of social audience engagement strategies and better understand the relationship between social activity and tune-in,” says Nielsen.
