Discovery has launched 6 virtual reality experiences ahead of its December 2nd premiere of documentary Racing Extinction.

The experiences further highlight the plight of the world's most endangered species: elephants, rhinos, lions, whale sharks, manta rays and giraffes. The VR experiences are available now on DiscoveryVR.com, via the iOS and Android app, and via the Milk VR app on Samsung Gear VR. They will also be showcased at the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Paris from November 30 to December 11.

“This cause is core to Discovery’s DNA and with half of the world’s species headed toward extinction, we have a role to play in spreading the message of this ground-breaking documentary and a critical responsibility to act; and that is exactly what we are doing,” said Discovery Communications president and CEO David Zaslav in a statement.
