What’s Killing Cable? (It’s Not What You Think)

Giant Interactive posted an intriguing piece titled, “Does the Future of TV Lie Beyond Cable?” Backed up with solid data, the article suggests that not only are longtime cable subscribers “cutting the cord,” but that the youngest demo is avoiding cable altogether (in swiftly growing numbers). It doesn’t bode well for the cable industry. People have consistently left and come back to cable but how will the lure the rapidly-increasing number of people who’ve never had any interest in signing up for a cable package?
