Vertoanalytics offers the headline: "Battle of Streaming Media: YouTube Dominates Video with 231M Monthly Users".
"YouTube is the clear leader of streaming video services," it reports, "in terms of monthly users (231M), stickiness rate (43%), and time spent. For example, YouTube Kids service was used on average 19:39 hours per user per month, followed by the flagship YouTube property at 12:15 hours in July. The average time spent for YouTube’s most notable competitor, Netflix, was 6:41 hours."
It also reports interesting numbers on Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, HBO's streaming services and others. They're all growing but if they want to approach YouTube in the viewers or stickiness arenas, they've got their work cut out for them.
