Netflix CCO: We Don’t Need a Ratings Race with Television

Speaking with Katie Couric at a session at the 2015 Aspen Ideas Festival, Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos explained why his company remained so secretive about ratings.

He said, as The Atlantic reports, “What I didn’t want to do is get into a ratings race with television, because really, for them it matters. For me, it doesn’t.”
