Interactive Mobile-First Music Video Is Tailored to Viewers’ Location

Director Vania Heymann has created a unique, interactive, mobile-first, location-based music video for Canadian band Keys n Krates.

The scrollable video uses over 2500 user-submitted geo-tagged photos to taiilor the experience based on viewers’ locations across Canada, taking them on a journey from the farthest reaches to land on a final image that is closest to where they are.

Heymann tells Fast Company‘s Co.Create, “Most of our time online, and specifically on social media, is spent scrolling down. Think of Twitter, Facebook, Vine, Instagram…it’s how we engage with almost every existing platform. So, I thought: If that’s how we most comfortably explore and interact online, why not create a scrollable music video?”
