Carl’s Jr. Experiments With Auto-Play Mobile Ads

To complement its Super Bowl ad, Carl’s Jr. has released a series of mobile ads with model Charlotte McKinney. The six-second video ads are set to auto-play from within apps such as Shazam, People CelebWatch, USA Today and more.

As Tom Dunlap, chief production officer at agency 72andSunny tells Adweek, “We know there’s a significant media buy around mobile—there always is now—you just have to think about the assets you’re creating when you’re on set and plan for that.”
