AT&T will be presenting SnapperHero, a new superhero series that will be distributed solely through Snapchat. The 12-part series will make each of its episodes available for only 24 hours on the messaging site starting in early 2015. It will star and be created by top influencers across social media networks such as Snapchat, Vine and YouTube.
Snapchat users will also have a role in influencing the direction of the series via certain calls-to-action.
“We saw great success in using Snapchat to engage our @SummerBreak audience and we’re excited to build on that with a Snapchat-centric series that truly empowers influencers,” said Liz Nixon, AT&T’s engagement marketing director. “We’re proud to venture into this new territory and innovate branded entertainment for social media in ways that are authentic to the influencers and their platforms.”
