Virtual Reality Restores Stolen Artwork to a Museum Setting

Ziv Schneider’s The Museum of Stolen Art is a virtual reality project featuring some of the world’s most famous stolen paintings, as well as art that was looted in Iraq and Afghanistan since the wars there.

Schneider tells Wired, “I wanted to get the viewer to see the pieces in context, the same way they might in real life.”
