Fox Tests Out Virtual Reality with 'Wild' Trek

Fox Searchlight is releasing a proof-of-concept virtual reality experience surrounding its film Wild. Wild - The Experience is a three-minute trek through the wilderness with Reese Witherspoon in character. It will be demonstrated at CES and the Sundance Film Festival in January and uses Samsung Gear VR.

Mike Dunn, president of Fox's home entertainment unit, explained what he believes the future of this sort of experience is for the studio. "Probably for our business, it’s going to be an in-home experience,”
