Digital video recorder pioneer TiVo has introduced the TiVo Mega, which will be available early in 2015 and will provide 24 TB of storage (about 4,000 hours of HD content). The Mega comes in a 10-bay (RAID 5 configuration), 19-inch rack-mount enclosure about 4 RU tall. TiVo Mega includes a lifetime subscription to TiVo’s service. The Mega, which is expected to cost approximately $5,000, includes six tuners and allows users to send content to TiVo Mini devices in multiple rooms of a house. (Its cost and specs suggest TiVo Mega may be more appropriate for commercial use, however.) Get ready to binge!
