CERN Scientists Log More Than One Million Minutes a Year on Vidyo Video Conferencing Platform

Publish date:

Vidyo, a provider of video conferencing services and collaboration solutions, said that the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) used more than 50 million minutes on its platform (that’s thousands of meetings) in the past year, more than it ever has before.

Deployed by the research organization in December 2011, Vidyo allows the center’s affiliated scientists and researchers around the globe to virtually meet on a regular basis for discussions and collaboration. Much of the recent collaboration has been focused on experiments involving CERN’s Large Hadron Collider, the world’s largest and most powerful particle accelerator.
