Dancing Monkeys Experiment with the Possibilities of WebVR

EleVR is a research team that has been experimenting with webVR this year, an API that allows developers to create web-based virtual reality experiences. Their latest project, Quaternion Monkeys, creates a four-dimensional, color-changing web of monkeys that can be manipulated by the user.

As EleVR's Vi Hart tells The Creators Project, "We're trying all sorts of things right now, seeing what we can do with webVR. The graphics shader is by 4d game developer Marc ten Bosch, and it's amazing that it can do the 4d transformations in browser. We're doing actual 4D graphics in real time, in VR, in browser, and even that hasn't pushed webVR to its limit.”
