Infographic Looks at the Relationship Between Movie Trailers and YouTube

A new infographic from Google and Millward Brown Digital looks at the success of trailers on YouTube.

The study found that 4 out of 5 moviegoers researching movies on video sites go to YouTube. 39% also said that trailers influence their decision to see a movie, three times more than any other source. Most trailer views happen in the month leading up to release, but there is also interest in a movie after it’s in theaters, particularly for dramas.
