New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art has released its first app, a simple text and image-based one that seeks to answer user questions about what's currently on view as well as upcoming events.

The app also has an easter egg functionality: an Artwork of the Day is displayed when your device is rotated 90 degrees.The Met's collection is also sorted into playful themed lists including: "Grand Spaces and Hidden Nooks," "Animals: See One, Be One," "Hidden in Plain Sight," "Medieval Love," and "Met-Staches."
