The latest version of Dish Network’s Dish Anywhere for iPad, Android and Kindle tablets offers a newly designed user interface with new capabilities that enhance the way customers discover, select and view entertainment. Dish Anywhere gives Hopper with Sling customers the ability to view live, recorded and video on demand (VOD) content at home or on-the-go from their mobile devices.

Dish Anywhere allows Dish authenticated users (subscribers) to instantly watch thousands of TV shows, movies and clips from connected devices. Dish subscribers can log in to unlock content from the networks they subscribe to at home, including HBO, Starz and TNT. Hopper with Sling customers can use the Dish Anywhere app to view live, recorded and VOD content at home or on the go from their mobile devices as well.

The new Dish Anywhere shifts to an image-centric format that features large programming thumbnails on a flat, dark background, making it easier for users to navigate to shows. Dish says it expects to roll out the UI update to iPhone and Android smartphones later this year.
