Russian ad agency Instinct has turned Ikea’s Instagram account (@ikea_ps_2014) into a functioning website. Using Instagram’s tagging feature, the account’s homepage acts as a catalog of sorts which allows users to click into furniture categories (like Benches, Tables etc.), each with their own Instagram accounts.
Instinct creative director Nikolay Fabrika tells Digiday, “We wanted to create something really cool. And then we noticed similarities between Instagram tags and website links. And then IKEA PS Collection 2014 was introduced.”
