Introduced at last year’s Government Video Expo, the Pro Media Conference offers the latest information and techniques for those working in government-related media operations. The excellent lineup of presentations will include discussions of new technologies, as well as targeted looks at creating, managing and delivering content for government agencies. Developed with both government-operated and private production organizations in mind, the Pro Media Conference will explore the media needs of government and ways to fulfill those needs.

This session is focused on video streaming technology for educational and government organizations. Nowadays, video is an essential communications tool in government agencies, universities, and K-12 schools. Delivering live video is still a challenge for most organizations. This session will focus on video streaming technology, standards such as H.264/H.265, and applications (distance learning/event broadcasts, meeting distribution). Rich will discuss how to evaluate premises based solutions and cloud systems and how to integrate the two (hybrid streaming). The session will include real world case studies such the State Capital of Rhode Island and UMASS Medical College.

VFX Legion Creates 100+ FX for 'Superfly' Remake

VFX Legion created over 100 digital effects for ‘Superfly,’ Sony’s highly anticipated remake of the iconic ‘70’s Blaxploitation film. The deadline was only five weeks away, and the visual effects for key action sequences had yet to be assigned when producer Joel Silver and Director X brought the LA studio onboard. Legion’s team was tasked with producing a complex mix of shots designed to heighten the visual impact and visceral feel of the violence in the film’s two pivotal shootout scenes.
