Taking a Look Back at Lessons Learned From Social Reality Show 'Summer Break'

The Wall Street Journal looks back on the successes of Summer Break, the experimental multi-platform digital reality show which was in production in real time.

They write that the show "garnered 15.3 million views for 84 videos, or about 182,000 each. That’s tiny by television standards, but decent for YouTube or its rivals...Jesse Jacobs, president of [the show's production company] says he was more pleased by viewers’ social-media engagement with the show, including 84,000 mentions on Twitter, 534,000 likes on Instagram, and 120,000 notes and reblogs on Tumblr."
