Award Winning Director-Performer Will Guide Gala Honoring Post Pros October 14, 2008 (Hollywood, CA) Talented multi-hyphenate Wil Shriner has been tapped to host the 3rd Annual Hollywood Post Alliance Awards, set for November 6th, 2008 at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles. Shriner has had a long and varied career as a director, screenwriter, producer and performer. He will guide the evening's gala as kudos are handed out to recognize the outstanding contributions of post production professionals working behind the scenes. Shriner is a perfect fit for the awards; his extensive career in front of and behind the camera provides him with real-life experience in the production process as well as a first-hand understanding of the importance of post production. Shriner's directorial credits include the feature "Hoot," based upon the Newbury Prize winning Carl Hiaasen Book, and the award-winning television series "Frasier," "Becker" and "Gilmore Girls." His own television show, "The Wil Shriner Show," received an Emmy nod. The HPA awards recognize a number of technical categories including Outstanding Color grading using a DI process for a feature film, Outstanding Color Grading for a Television Program, Outstanding Color Grading for a Commercial, Outstanding Editing for a Feature Film, Outstanding Editing for a Television Program, Outstanding Editing for a Commercial, Outstanding Audio Post Production for a Television Program, Outstanding Audio Post Production for a Commercial, and Outstanding Compositing for a Commercial.
