Ackman Brings More than Twenty Years of Professional Accounting Experience RALEIGH, NORTH CAROLINA – September 13, 2011 – Valencell, an innovator in mobile health and fitness technology, announced today the addition of Todd Ackman, Vice President of Finance, to its growing team. Todd brings extensive financial experience to Valencell, having led fundraising and M&A execution for Inlet Technologies, Inc. and its recent $95M acquisition by Cisco Systems. With over two decades of professional accounting experience, Todd’s industry expertise spans information technology, digital media, clinical research, and manufacturing disciplines. He has auditing experience with international CPA firms and is a licensed CPA in Florida. Todd holds a BS degree in Accounting from Bradley University. Today’s news comes on the heels of Valencell’s recent announcement that it received $5.5M in Series B venture investment. The round was led by Best Buy Capital with participation from Series A investors TDF and True Ventures. The company plans to use funding to continue making strategic hires and to expand its commercialization and product pipeline.
