STUN Creative “Curbs Its Enthusiasm” for Larry David, With Unique Viral Web Promo Touting the Series’ Debut on TV Guide Network

Stun Creative, an award winning advertising agency and production company based in Los Angeles, has produced and directed an uncomfortable and very “Larry David-esque,� marketing campaign for the premiere of “Curb Your Enthusiasm� on TV Guide Network.

The multimedia effort includes a TV spot and viral web promo where Larry David finds himself in yet another awkward situation, this time during an apparent junket type interview about “Curb� coming to TV Guide Network. Designed to blur the line between the real Larry and TV Larry, the campaign leaves viewers wondering if what they just saw was scripted or truly captured by cameras in between takes.

Similar to how a scene from “Curb Your Enthusiasm� is shot, Stun developed the concept and script outline which gave Larry David and Rob Huebel, the interviewer, room to improvise and take the comedy to another level. After three takes there was more than enough material to produce the campaign. Larry David also worked with TV Guide and Stun in the edit bay to make the final cuts.

Roth adds, “Our goal when developing the campaign was to create a Curb-like situation or moment that captures the anxiety of the show.�

Roth and Feldstein also recently worked with Seinfeld alum Julia Louis-Dreyfus shooting spots for her series “The Old Adventures of New Christine� as it launches into off-network syndication. “Keeping with the recent ‘Seinfeld’-related clients theme, we’re hoping to work with ‘The Soup Nazi’ next,� Roth/Feldstein remarked.
