Stun Creative & Buster Design Rebrand GSN Network

Publish date:

Los Angeles, CA, Nov. 11, 2008 – Award winning agency Stun Creative and its motion graphics division, Buster Design, have just completed a major network rebrand for GSN. Stun Creative co-presidents Mark Feldstein and Brad Roth made the announcement. Specifically, Buster developed and produced the entire “look and feel of all promotional and navigational elements that will appear on-air, and which will be incorporated across all media platforms starting on November 6th. Feldstein & Roth point out, “Games are about having fun. And we wanted to make sure that everything about our designs expresses that mantra. The new GSN identity system has been designed to inspire playfulness. Additionally, the logo is designed to visually recall a game board. It can be used in its native form, or it can be customized thematically for holidays, programming stunts -- any event that will have meaning for GSN’s audience. Lead by Buster’s Executive Creative Director & Executive Producer Jonas Morganstein, the design team created two versions of the new on-air GSN rebranding -- a bright, 2D graphic daytime version, and a more 3D, glossy nighttime version. Buster created all promotional graphic elements, including IDs, promos, bumpers, menus, lower thirds, bugs, etc. Said Morganstein, “The new on-air package revolves around nine moveable puzzle piece elements. The fun comes from how these simple shapes come to life and expand into a rich world of playfulness and fun that everyone can relate to. Some of the best games involve a simple set of rules and then the fun begins. As we animated the graphics, we wanted the network viewer to feel like they are playing a game. The goal is to bring to life the tagline ‘Play Every Day’ - taking viewers to another place, a place where games provide an exciting combination of challenge and fulfillment. Buster Credits for GSN Rebranding Project: Jonas Morganstein, Executive Creative Director & Executive Producer Brandy Johnston, Supervising Producer Gilbert Avila, Art Director ABOUT BUSTER: Launched in 2004 by Co-Presidents Brad Roth and Mark Feldstein as a division of their noted advertising agency Stun Creative, Buster is a conceptual design studio specializing in original animated content for the advertising and broadcast industries.
