Stephen Arnold Music Delivers New Music to The Comcast Network

Dallas, TX, August 23, 2006 - Stephen Arnold Music (SAM,) widely regarded as the leading provider of original and syndicated music to the broadcasting industry, with its musical compositions heard daily in over 100-million American homes on 300 television stations and numerous broadcast and cable TV networks, has created new music for CN8 “The Comcast Network”. Stephen Arnold founder/composer, SAM, made the announcement.

The new music was created for a series of branding and image spots to strengthen the identity of CN8 as "The Comcast Network." The company‘s client for the project was Joe Keefe, Director, Creative Operations.

About the new music, Mr. Keefe said, “I was seeking some new music with a classic rock, live feel. Stephen Arnold Music took the essence of that idea to a whole new level and created something completely original. They delivered four different music ID spots, one each for sports, lifestyle, primetime and entertainment. Along with our new graphics, the music behind the IDs has a distinct and unbelievable sound. They did an awesome job.”

Added Chad Cook, SAM‘s Creative Director, “CN8 wanted to do something very different from what they had been doing previously. We moved them away from the more atmospheric, almost ‘world music‘ feel that we had been creating for previous image spots on their behalf. Instead, we decided to

go for an almost ‘classic rock‘ sound with all live instruments. Even more interesting is that we built a ‘sonic brand' out of a classic space echo, or Echoplex guitar effect, rather than a set of notes. We created several themes all of which are bound together by this classic rock sound and Echoplex guitar effect.”
