Simon Cuff Appointed Chief Operating Officer at Digital Vision

, a leading developer of advanced digital media applications specialising in film and video solutions, today announced the appointment of Simon Cuff to the position of President and Chief Operating Officer. Cuff who joined Digital Vision upon the company‘s acquisition of Nucoda in early 2005 replaces outgoing President and COO Robert Ekström. The appointment will be effective immediately and Cuff will manage Digital Vision‘s worldwide team from its Soho, London office.

Simon Cuff co-founded Nucoda in 2000. The team performed R&D, product design, support and marketing work on Sony's Socrato project before embarking on the development of the Nucoda systems. Prior to founding Nucoda in 2000, Simon was a Senior Software Engineer and Product Manager for Avid Technology and Parallax Graphics System. Simon holds a Masters degree in Software Engineering from Imperial College, London University.

In addition, Chris Steele will be promoted to VP Product Development managing the company‘s entire product range and R&D team. Chris joined Digital Vision in 2005 and has worked at companies including Parallax Software, Avid Technology and Eastman Kodak, and most recently Director of UK Operations for OMG plc.
