Hollywood, CA, August 13, 2007 – Mike Eaves, one of the film industry‘s most versatile and prolific digital intermediate Colorists, has joined Pacific Title & Art Studio‘s robust digital intermediate division. The announcement was made today by Ladd Lanford, Vice President/General Manager of Pacific Title & Art Studio.
“With over 45 feature films to his credit, Mike brings a wealth of experience, creativity and expertise to Pacific Title Digital,” Lanford said. “We‘re excited to have him onboard as we continue to expand our digital intermediate operations and provide our clients with consummate service and unparalleled image quality.”
Eaves and staff Colorist Maxine Gervais will apply their considerable color correction and image enhancement artistry to the company‘s comprehensive digital intermediate pipeline, which has performed DI services on numerous features, such as “The Invasion,” “Hostel 2,” “Nancy Drew,” “Turistas,” “The Ring 2,” “Mr. Brooks,” “Rocky Balboa,” “Because I Said So,” “The Grudge 2” and the highly anticipated films “Speed Racer” and “88 Minutes.” Eaves is currently working on the DI for the Joel Schumacher-directed thriller “Town Creek.”
“This is the perfect opportunity for me to expand the range of DI that I‘ll be doing, and utilize a software-based system that I know well and love working with,” said Eaves. “It‘s exciting to step into this company and dig in deep.”
Eaves began his career in Hollywood in 1986 as an Engineer at video signage company Autographics Ltd. After serving as a Colorist at Post Logic Studios, where he worked on numerous commercials, music videos, episodic television and animated series, and specialized as a High Definition Colorist, he made his first foray into feature film DI as the Colorist on “Stuart Little 2.”
Prior to joining Pacific Title & Art Studio, Eaves worked as a digital intermediate Colorist at Efilm, where his credits include the hit films “The Bourne Supremacy,” “Ocean‘s Twelve,” “T3: Rise of the Machines,” “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind,” “Dawn of the Dead,” “Failure to Launch,” “Night at the Museum,” “You, Me and Dupree,” “The Italian Job” and “Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World.”
