Santa Monica, CA, September 29, 2006 - Nina Saxon Design, one of the entertainment industry‘s leading design production studios specializing in main and end titles, title sequences, and animated motion graphics logos for major motion pictures, television movies and TV programs, and entertainment production companies, has completed main title designs sequences for four upcoming feature films and a new television series. The announcement was made by the company‘s president Nina Saxon, widely acknowledged for the past 25 years as one of the most accomplished and successful title designers in the entertainment industry.

Nina Saxon Design has completed main titles for Martin Scorsese‘s “The Departed,” Lasse Hallstrom‘s “The Hoax,” Barry Levinson‘s “Man of the Year,” and “Deck the Halls” starring Danny DeVito and Matthew Broderick, for director John Whitesell. On the television side, the company has also produced the main title sequence for the new ABC TV series “Notes from the Underbelly,” for creator Stacy Traub and exec producer Barry Sonnenfeld.

Regarding the main title for “The Departed,” Saxon said, “For this assignment, we designed white type over black, which is not so simple. Many people think white on black requires little or no thought, but the title still needed to reflect Martin Scorsese‘s vision and feel integrated into the film, as it is the first image the audience sees.”

Regarding “Man of the Year,” Barry Levinson said, “Nina Saxon was excellent at working within our always pressing time limits, always accommodated our feedback, and we were pleased with the end results.”

Said Saxon, “We are really fortunate to have had the chance to work with such major filmmakers and producers just recently. I believe that a main title sequence should always feel organic to any movie or television program, as though it was actually written into the script. Even though a main title may be very elaborate and wonderful on its own merit, I don‘t think it can be considered a success if it‘s disconnected from the rest of the picture or program. That is our specialty and the reason why we have succeeded in this niche field.”

Founded by Nina Saxon in l981 in Santa Monica, CA, Nina Saxon Design is one of the entertainment industry‘s leading design production studios for feature film and television projects. The New York Times has cited Nina Saxon as “one of the most sought-after designers in the entertainment business.”

In addition to its work in the overall development, creation and production of motion picture and television main and end titles, title sequences, and animated motion graphics logos for entertainment production companies, Nina Saxon Design also acts to oversee title design budgets, art direction, and the post-production process behind those titles and sequences. The company also serves as liaison between the title design process and each project‘s producers, directors and editors, as well as between studio post-production supervisors, executives and legal departments.

Historically, Nina Saxon Design has contributed over 250 feature film main titles, including those for such movies as “Cider House Rules,” “The Fugitive,” “Forrest Gump,” the “Back to the Future” trilogy, “Beauty and the Beast,” “The Little Mermaid,” “The Hunt for Red October,” “Primary Colors,” “Mrs. Doubtfire,” “Contact,” “Rush Hour,” and “Romancing the Stone,” as well as the recent “Snakes on a Plane,” “RV,” “Scooby Doo” and “Big Momma‘s House 1 & 2.”

In the area of television programs, Nina Saxon Design has produced main titles for such hits as “Life with Bonnie,” “Picket Fences,” “Parenthood,” HBO‘s “Something the Lord Made” and “61*,” “Bette,” “Early Edition,” “Fantasy Island,” and “Wings.”
