MDots Produces “Surreal Life” Launch Promo for TV Guide Network

Hollywood, CA, July 30, 2007 – MDots has been retained by TV Guide Network to design and produce a new promo launching “The Surreal Life.” Seasons one through four of “The Surreal Life” recently began airing on TV Guide Network five nights a week. ABOUT “THE SURREAL LIFE” PROMO PROJECT:

“The goal of the spot was to re-introduce The Surreal Life to the TV Guide Networks audience in a way that made it feel special and exclusive to the network. We developed the theme “Live it and love it again” by highlighting the shows “Hook ups and hang ups and the divas and the drama” of the series successful first run,” said Mdots creative director and writer of the spot Marty Wall.

In the promo spot, we hear the announcer say, “This Summer, TV Guide Network wants you to get ‘surreal!‘ Now ‘The Surreal Life‘ is on the TV Guide Network five nights a week, with all of your ‘surreal‘ friends.” Viewers see a colorful, kaleidoscopic display of past “Surreal Life” participants, who include such a diverse array of celebrities as M.C. Hammer, Verne Troyer, Bridgette Nielsen, Vanilla Ice, Corey Feldman, Charo, Traci Bingham, and Christopher Knight. The announcer concludes, “Have a ‘Surreal Summer‘ on the TV Guide Network.”

“The unpredictable Surreal Life attitude is a perfect jolt to TV Guide Network‘s late night programming block,” said Todd McNulty, TV Guide Network, Vice President of On-Air Promotion. “Being a Surreal fan myself, I knew that we had to stay true to the Surreal franchise while making sure viewers want to join the party at its new home on TV Guide Network. Marty and the MDots team took our visual and creative cues to a higher level.”
