JVC TO HOST THX CALIBRATION CERTIFICATION WORKSHOP

WAYNE, NJ – JVC Professional Products Company will host a THX® Professional Video Systems Calibration certification workshop Dec. 7-9, 2010, at its facility in Cypress, Calif. The three-day workshop includes two days of hands-on calibrating exercises, where students will work with professional calibration equipment on more than a dozen different displays, including LCD and plasma panels, DLP and LCD projectors, high-end video processors, and a variety of Blu-ray and DVD players. Once certified, THX trained Professional Video Systems Calibrators can use the prestigious THX mark for advertising and offer THX Calibrated Display services to their customers as a premium offering. Certified calibrators also receive a “THX Calibrated� plaque and certificate, as well as an exclusive listing on the THX.com Web site. Plus, students who complete the course receive are registered to access the THX Video Calibrators’ forum, a unique online community with key industry information and a Q&A forum for support in the field. The workshop will be conducted by Gregg Loewen, Lead THX Video Standards Instructor and President of Maine-based Lion Audio Video Consultants, Inc.
