Imagineer to Offer Sneak Preview of mocha Pro v3; Demonstrates New Motion Tracking for Editors Bundle with Boris FX

GUILDFORD, UK (September 6, 2011)

-- Imagineer Systems (

) today announced it will showcase its newest versions of mocha™ and mocha Pro™ and mocha AE™, and will provide ‘sneak preview’ demonstrations of mocha Pro v3 during IBC 2011 in Amsterdam later this week. IBC 2011 also marks the European debut of mocha Pro since its release, and offers attendees an opportunity to see first-hand Imagineer’s newest planar tracking, roto and removal tool that dramatically reduces the manual labor associated with visual effects and stereo conversion projects. Executives from Imagineer Systems will be providing ‘sneak preview’ demonstrations of mocha Pro v3, and will highlight such new features as 3D camera export to After Effects, new roto enhancements such as joining layers and a new key frame dopesheet. The newest release greatly improves roto support for Nuke compositing workflow, an especially important workflow feature that greatly enhances 2D-3D conversion pipelines. Additionally, Imagineer Systems will be demonstrating its new collaboration bundle with Boris FX, Motion Tracking for Editors, affordable and powerful motion tracking tools and plug-ins designed to work with Avid Media Composer, Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Apple Final Cut Pro 7 and Sony Vegas Pro. “This year’s release of mocha Pro has been our most successful product launch to date and the growing community of VFX artists has responded to the advanced features added to mocha’s tool set. The success of our products depend entirely on the feed back we get from our customers; they are integral in helping us determine the must-have key features,” said J-P Smith, CEO of Imagineer Systems. “Large post houses and facilities have been asking for deeper roto capabilities and more tightly integrated workflows that enable them to share projects and layers across applications. And the After Effects community has been asking for features such as 3D camera support. So we’re here at IBC 2011 to show our customers how we’ve taken all their input and are delivering on their requests in our forthcoming versions of the mocha family. IBC 2011 is a great venue for us to preview these new features and gather more first-hand feedback from our community of users. We’re excited to hear what they have to say about mocha Pro v3!” mocha and mocha Pro have gained recent notoriety as a result of the significant impact the planar tracker has made in the production of the Oscar-winning sensation, The Black Swan, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Parts 1 and 2, and this summer’s comedy hit, Friends with Benefits. Additionally, mocha Pro has proven invaluable to customers at major post production and stereo conversion facilities around the world, and has greatly streamlined the stereo conversion pipelines on such 3D blockbuster sensations as The Green Lantern, Transformers 3D, and The Chronicles of Narnia; Voyage of the Dawn Treader.
