IGI has announced that it will participate in the first REDucation training event July 20 – 26, 2009 at Los Angeles Center Studios in Los Angeles, CA. The company will provide its IGI PowerWindow | 4K™ for use in all classroom sessions and screening of 4K RED content throughout the week-long event, including Community Day on Thursday, July 23.
The IGI PowerWindow | 4K is a large screen, native 4K resolution (4096 x 2160 pixels) display solution that allows RED content to be viewed in its full resolution. Incorporating Sony SXRD® 4K projector technology, the self-contained, rear projection system features a screen size of 9’- 9 wide by 5’– 2 tall. The system’s footprint is 12’ – 4 wide and 8’– 7 deep. The product’s unique form factor makes it ideal for a variety of production and post production uses as the film industry progresses towards an all-digital, 4K production workflow.
IGI Founder and President, Pat Hernandez, is looking forward to IGI’s upcoming participation in the first REDucation event.
“The inclusion of IGI in the first REDucation event reflects the recognized need for our PowerWindow | 4K display system in the RED 4K workflow, says Hernandez. “We anticipate our role will continue to evolve in the RED community.
