Following Richmond-based animation and design studio Hue&Cry welcoming back executive producer Scott Friske, the company has bolstered its business endeavors by aligning with new representation. Anna Rotholz Management will rep Hue&Cry on the East Coast and Maureen Butler of MoButler Represents will handle the Midwest. Combined, the two agents rep an array of creative talents spanning top directors, producers, designers, animators, and editors.
Having spent the majority of her career as an independent rep working with such shops such as Ziegler Management, and The Family, as well as in house head of sales at Believe Media, Rotholz brings over a decade of broad understanding in conveying talents’ capabilities and goals. Her current roster includes tinygiant, PF100, Rocket Film, Hey Baby and Consulate NYC.
On joining the Hue&Cry team Rotholz shares, “I’m so excited to be adding animation and design work to my roster, and my partnership with Hue&Cry already feels like a natural fit.”
A native of Chicago, Maureen Butler, founder of MoButler Reps, is an agency world veteran. She brings a strong intuition and instinct about the communication and connection between agency, client direct and production. A great listener, curator of talent, with a generous spirit, her passion for bringing people and ideas together makes her a respected and trusted film rep.
In addition to Hue&Cry, MoButler Reps’ clients also include Taylor James, Theresa Wingert at Fiona, AtSwim, Shindig Music, Sandro Miller, and BottleRocket360 for live action.
“I am thrilled to be working with Hue&Cry,” adds Maureen Butler. “A small company with immense talent! They are creative and stealth, and a dream to have on one’s roster. I’ve known Scott for many years and admire his willingness to go the distance servicing my long-standing clients. The Midwest looks for solid partners who are reliable, resourceful, and offer innovative solutions. I’ve repped for over 25 years, and my agency clients trust me to bring only the best options with the best credentials. Hue&Cry definitely checks all those boxes.”
“We’re really thrilled about our new rep partnerships and know what excellent hands we’re in,” notes Hue&Cry Executive Producer Scott Friske. “Anna for the East Coast and Maureen for the Midwest, bring such deep experience for our animation and design talent and robust, respected relationships with clients. We really look forward to the opportunities they’ll identify and bring Hue&Cry’s way.”
