How do Gaffers position their lights?

One of Alan Gordon Enterprise’s essential new products this year, the Blue Ring Gaffer’s Glass TM has received increasing praise from lighting professionals. It is designed to allow you to locate the center of a key light or hot spot to accurately determine where to position the light to achieve optimum coverage, providing an idea of drop off and voids.

It is often used to identify the position of the sun when it is behind clouds to determine where shadows will fall, as it provides protection for eyes from harmful light sources. The extremely dark glass lens of the Gaffer’s Glass also makes lamp filaments easy to view. The Blue Ring Gaffer’s Glass TM comes with a handheld ring, lanyard and is attractively packaged with instructions.
