HOME.corp, the well respected London-based commercial production company is simultaneously launching a New York office as well as a brand-new production arm aptly labeled Beauty at HOME, which will be solely dedicated to delivering excellence in beauty and fashion advertising.
Beauty at HOME will be the only shop of its kind in the States focusing on high-end beauty production and post with a special commitment to efficiency and cost-savings. Through strategic hubs in London, New York and Shanghai, the new company will take advantage of multi-currency budgeting, economies of scale, and lower negotiated rates with a global network of producers, directors, DoPs, stylists, makeup specialists, and editing and post houses to maintain high creative standards and deliver international fashion and beauty talent at local prices.
Beauty at HOME will feature some of the original HOME.corp talent and some exciting new additions to the roster. The new company will benefit from the firm reputation that its parent has established for producing beauty commercials of the highest quality for A-level brands, including Dove, Johnson & Johnson, Olay and Rimmel, in a range of formats, from webisodes to virals to long-form content, feature films, and drama.
“With HOME’s extended track record of working with the world’s top beauty companies, the spinoff into Beauty at HOME was a natural move,” noted HOME.corp founder Emily Bliss. “The new company is filling a niche, as there is currently no other production shop with this special focus on beauty products. The commitment to delivering at low cost will in no way compromise the final product, as Beauty at HOME launches with an all-star cast of directors and producers to meet the challenges of today’s multimedia advertising environment. The award-winning roster of directors includes London-based Sue Worthy, documentary filmmaker Lucy Blakstad, still photographer Robert Ascroft, and precocious young talent Saul Dibb. Complementing them will be a team of top production and marketing talent, with backgrounds in everything from ads to film to the music industry. With offices in London, NY and Shanghai, HOME.corp is lead by a team of experienced executive producers, founder Emily Bliss heading up the London office, and Betsy Kelley leading the U.S. team.
The talented roster of Beauty at HOME brings a track record of producing memorable spots, with a focus on achieving the original creative vision through exhaustive casting and location searches, all at cost savings. Olay’s Pink Ribbons campaign featured three beautiful underwater spots casted, shot, edited, and graded through an international online collaboration that delivered well under budget. The hugely successful Dove Real Women campaign was a triumph of casting, as the director Lucy Blakstad scoured the globe to find six women with the perfect combination of curves and comfort in front of a camera.
The new company will be set up to serve ad agencies with beauty accounts. Further incentives for repeat clients will be available as well as custom-made websites for each project ensuring full client participation at every level of the creative process.
HOME.corp’s New York office will work with the London and Asia offices to represent its current roster of top talent, while its sister company in the U.S., Nonfiction Unlimited (repped in london), will lend support when needed.
