For the launch of its New York City flagship store, 77kids (American Eagle Outfitters’ new brand for toddlers and youngsters) turned to Futuristic Films director Nicholaus Goossen to create an interactive music video. Shot in black-and-white with a gritty feel, the 45-second music video utilizes motion control and high-end tracking technology that allows young customers of 77kids to have their head shot merged into the video. Elements from the music video are showcased in-store as well as on outdoor digital billboards. Personalized music videos can be saved to an iPad or posted to Facebook or Twitter.

“We had a great time working with space150 and 77Kids on something as interesting and unique as this project,” says Brendan Kiernan, EP at Futuristic Films. “We’ve built our production company around the idea of being able to bring narrative and storytelling into the emerging world of interactive and augmented reality video and this project is a perfect example of that fusion.”
“Futuristic Films and Nick Goossen did a great job bringing the music video to life and creating something that was authentic, cool and true to the style and look of the 77kids brand,” adds Brian Franks of 77kids.
