Future Media Concepts & ADMS Bring Digital Media Training to Middle East/Africa

New York, NY. 23 April, 2007 – Future Media Concepts (FMC), the nation‘s premier digital media training company, has partnered with Dubai-based Applied Digital Media Services (ADMS) to bring advanced digital media training to content creators in the Middle East and Africa. Through this joint venture ADMS is licensing FMC‘s highly-successful model to offer manufacturer-authorized courses in digital editing, Web design and development, motion graphics, sound design, and desktop publishing in training centers from Pakistan to Morocco. The first of these centers opened in January in a new state-of-the-art facility in Dubai‘s Knowledge Village and offers authorized Adobe, Apple, Avid, and Digidesign courses.

ADMS was founded by training industry veteran Mohammed Khasrow, who watched the rapid expansion of the Dubai media market first hand, and with it, a rise in demand for professional-level digital media training. According to Khasrow, Dubai‘s Media City supports dozens of broadcast operations and a waiting list of organizations looking to launch. Dubai‘s Studio City, the region‘s film center modeled after Hollywood and Bollywood, is developing quickly, as is Production City, a market center focused on print media. Noting similar market growth across other cities in the region, Khasrow set out to find a partner with the right expertise, a proven business model, and a mix of services that fit the market‘s training needs.

After conducting extensive research ADMS joined with FMC in 2006 to deploy FMC‘s successful model and experienced instructors into the Middle East/Africa region. To get the Dubai center underway quickly, FMC worked closely with ADMS to select and integrate new equipment, fast-track manufacturer authorization, identify new trainers and prepare qualified candidates for manufacturer train-the-trainer courses, and deliver end-user courses. These authorized training programs in the Middle East are now underway, focused on professional content creators from broadcast operations, post production facilities, advertising agencies, and large corporate video departments.

Khasrow, President of FMC Middle East/Africa, noted, “The industry has changed. An increasing number of traditional and IPTV broadcast opportunities are creating a huge demand for content, and in turn, a need to develop the professionals who will produce that content. Future Media Concepts has a proven-effective program, expert instructors, and an operational model that matches up perfectly to the needs of these companies and individuals.”

Jeff Rothberg, Vice President and Co-founder of FMC, said, “The Middle East is an important emerging market for digital content creation. As software becomes more sophisticated and capable of doing more the need for quality training is increasingly evident. ADMS recognized that early, and we‘re excited to support this market through our regional partner ADMS.”
