Santa Monica, CA, Aug 11, 2006 - Freddy‘s Barn Service (FBS) has been launched as a new, full-service commercial production company in Santa Monica. Jeff Maier, formerly a producer with Bozell Worldwide and The Eye Films is the company‘s Executive Producer.

Initial spots produced by Freddy‘s Barn Service are those for MGA Toys, K-Swiss (product only), Gateway, and Biotene. At present, the company has five directors on its roster: they are Greg Daniels, Adam Karsten, Gary Manske, Vasco Elola and Carlos Rabinsky.


** For MGA Toys, FBS produced two 30-second spots promoting Boys and Game lines. The first spot is a $100,000 Pyramid DVD Game, and the spot features a boy and girl playing against $100,000 DVD Game against parents, and the kids win. The second spot is for the family card game “Big Fish, Little Fish.” In the spot, the family is playing the game in an after-dinner setting.

** For K-Swiss, FBS shot all product shots for their last two series of spots.

** For Gateway, FBS shot all Live Action for the spots: “Lifestyle in a Box.”

The spots show everyday situations in which a computer can be used.

Shot six situations in which computers are used.

** For, FBS produced five 30-second spots promoting, an online search engine for home buyers. The spots focus on various items falling from the sky onto a white cyc. ”It would take a lot more than this to find your dream house,” is the tagline. Tires, maps, atlases, gas cans, calendars, and clocks all pile up to show how consumers waste time when they are physically involved in trying to find a home or apartment.

** For Biotene, FBS did a :10 second spot touting the benefits of Biotene Mouthwash, in which a doctor talks about what Biotene is and does.


Jeff Maier has over 15 years experience as an Advertising Agency Producer and over six years as an Executive and/or Line Producer. He has produced over 150 commercials, ranging from those for such advertisers as Boeing Aircraft to Verizon Wireless. He has also produced over 100 toy commercials for various clients, including Mattel.

From 1992-97, Maier was an Agency Producer for Bozell Worldwide. During this time, his clients included Taco Bell, IHOP, TaylorMade, Kawasaki and Airtouch. Later, he was a freelance Agency Producer (1997-2001) for such major agencies as McCaan Erickson, FCB, McElroy Comm, Mattel Direct, J. Walter Thompson, Kalis & Savage, and Campbell Mithun.

Maier has also worked as an Executive/Line Producer for The Eye Films, Inc., producing projects for Skechers, Time Warner Cable, and Wells Fargo.


** Greg Daniels has directed spots for Kodak, Wells Fargo, Biotene, and Back to Basics. He has also directed Hispanic spots

** Adam Karsen (protégé to famed tabletop director Garry Sato,) has directed spots for Kettle One, Nike and Gateway.

** Gary Manske has directed spots for Taylor Made and Mattel.

** Vasco Elola, based in Uruguay, has directed Hispanic spots for Bayer Pantene, and English spots for Mattel.

** Carlos Rusansky, based in Argentina, has directed Hispanic spots for Aiwa VW, Ford and Lay‘s.
