FFS Tech Connects LA Lakers UCLA Health Training Center with Canare

Newly Constructed Facilities Use Canare Connector Panels to Accommodate Broadcast Needs
Publish date:

TOTOWA, NEW JERSEY, JUNE 27, 2017 - With the NBA draft in full swing, the Los Angeles Lakers are gearing up to put its new training facility to work with some help from Canare, a world leader in developing, manufacturing, and supplying audio and video cables, connectors, patchbays and fiber-optic products for the broadcast industry. The newly constructed state-of-the-art LA Lakers headquarters and UCLA Health Training Center includes offices and a complete NBA training center with an exhibition court and arena seating. To accommodate the facility's broadcast needs, including audio and video feeds for TV and radio stations, Canare SMPTE HFO Camera Connector Panels were used as part of the technology integrated under the direction of FFS Tech, a licensed low voltage integrator specializing in providing building safety and technology solutions.

Located on a five-acre site in El Segundo, the new facility was designed with the flexibility to accommodate future expansion utilizing the latest AV technology. As part of the technology solution chosen for the Lakers training facility, nearly 40 Canare connector panels were integrated, with many of the six connector panels customized to fit broadcasters' requirements. FFS Tech began its technology integration in October of 2016, with the Canare Connector panels being installed this past February. With testing being completed, the project is wrapping up now for an official opening of the facility scheduled for this summer.
