FCB and Sarofsky Serve Up Festive Spots for Bud Light Chelada Campaign

To crack open the celebration, FCB invited Sarofsky’s visual maestros to get creative with the iconic brand elements of their dreams.

CHICAGO – A new festive campaign featuring the refreshed visual identity of Bud Light Chelada from global, award-winning and integrated marketing communications company Foote, Cone & Belding (FCB) has recently debuted across all media. The campaign’s vibrant, masterfully executed “Cheliamos” (:30) and “Ingredient Explosion” (:15) spots were produced in Chicago by one-stop cross-media production company Sarofsky.

To crack open the celebration, FCB invited Sarofsky’s visual maestros to get creative with the iconic brand elements of their dreams. Beginning with the famed Anheuser-Busch brand mark and Bud Light’s signature typography, the storyline casts all four beverages representing Bud Light Chelada’s product line. Using consummate motion-controlled live-action cinematography, bold design and flawless visual effects, the sparkling, effervescent goodness hypnotically swirls, pours, and resolves into a tantalizing enticement.

“We saw this campaign as a terrific opportunity to explore an energetic brand and combine some dazzling visual elements and techniques into something very unique and ownable,” said Sarofsky’s Creative Director Stefan Draht. “We have the utmost respect for FCB, and this collaboration was a perfect fit for our talents, capabilities and passions.”

Executive Creative Director Erin Sarofsky added, “Being invited by our illustrious friends at FCB to take part in this vivacious fiesta was a total blast for our team, and a momentous chance for us to kick-off some new celebrations for a phenomenal brand.”

Sarofsky’s production was led by Executive Producer Steven Anderson, Producer Andrew Rosenstein, and Karen Carter as Line Producer for the live-action shoot directed by The Barkers with VFX Supervisor Cory Davis and Director of Photography Isaiah Jay. The expertise of rigger and special effects designer Geoff Binns-Calvey was also essential in achieving the stunning visual results.

Orchestrating a remote team of 3D artists and other talents, Draht and his colleagues seamlessly integrated the pristine product and high-speed liquid cinematography plates with custom type in an Anheuser-Busch stylized setting. Edited by Jamie Gray and accompanied by an original score by Jonathan Tyler, the vibrant, celebratory Bud Light Chelada spots use every cinematic master stroke to convey refreshment and fun.
