NASHVILLE, TN, July 27, 2011 — Endless Analog announces that it has appointed Effretikon-based firm Audistro as its exclusive dealer in Switzerland for the CLASP™ (Closed Loop Analog Signal Processor), the critically acclaimed pro audio product that invisibly merges real analog tape with Pro Tools and other DAWs. Founded in 2006, Audistro is a high-end audio equipment distribution/sales company serving the professional audio/broadcast market in Switzerland, offering anything from individual pieces of gear to whole-studio solutions and consulting services. As CLASP’s exclusive dealer in Switzerland, Audistro Owner/CEO Martin Korth will bring the renowned CLASP to the Swiss audio community.
Korth first discovered CLASP at AES in New York in 2009, but did not experience a full demo until the 2011 London convention. He states, “KMR, CLASP’s U.K. dealer, was holding a demo at the legendary Air studios, and I attended. I was just blown away. Seeing it in a real control room with real musicians and engineers brought it home for me. I could see how it sped up the whole recording process with analog tape and how it can be very beneficial to anyone who owns a tape machine. I spoke to [Endless Analog President/Founder and CLASP inventor] Chris Estes about Audistro representing CLASP in the Swiss market, and they were kind enough to make a visit. They came over and we did a few on-site demos in Switzerland, and our partnership has grown from there.”
Christopher Estes stated, “Audistro and Martin Korth have a powerful presence within the Swiss audio community. They are known for their expertise and the high-end brands they carry, and we are pleased to enter into this partnership. Martin is very passionate about the quality of audio; hence, his great enthusiasm about our CLASP technology. We are excited about having Audistro as our exclusive dealer in Switzerland, as they are very passionate about analog/digital hybrid recording.”
Korth already has a keen sense of the potential customer bases for CLASP. He notes, “There are two broad groups of end users I have in mind. Group A are the customers who already own a tape machine but have not used it in a while – they are convinced that using analog tape is too much hassle, too much time lost or too much money for all the tapes you need to buy. Since CLASP solves all these problems, it can get these customers’ tape machines back in the recording process. It’s the perfect solution. And then there is Group B, people who have not worked with analog tape before. They will hear about CLASP and realize how easy it can be to record with tape, and they may decide to buy a tape machine, and they will immediately profit from having great sound!”
