Multi-channel ingest, comprehensive browse, and unique Universal Media File capabilities integrates with EditShare storage further enhancing media sharing for multi-application editing workgroups

Amsterdam, The Netherlands – September 14, 2008 --

™ the technology leader in cross platform collaborative editing and shared media storage, announced at the IBC 2008 conference the release of EditShare Flow. Part of the new Complete Collaboration product line announced at NAB 2008, EditShare Flow offers comprehensive ingest and browse capabilities seamlessly integrated with the EditShare Storage, XStream and Ark solutions. “Flow takes all of the pain points out of multi-format ingest projects, said Andy Liebman, President and founder of EditShare. “Without compromising the data, Flow is able to ingest material from just about any source and make it available to users for immediate production regardless of platform and editing application. This is especially important for workgroups that consist of Avid and Apple editors whose media is not compatible. EditShare Flow Ingest is the only acquisition solution that captures in one format and simultaneously outputs to multiple formats including Apple Pro Res, and Avid, MXF, as well as low proxy formats. Feature highlights include multi-channel ingest with independent control over each channel, full metadata capture, and edit-while-recording capabilities. EditShare Flow also includes the EditShare Universal Media™ File technology. This unique technology creates a single media file which can be used in both Avid and Final Cut Pro editing environments. The EditShare Flow Browse application simplifies and accelerates media searches within the EditShare storage environment. Users can quickly locate media among hundreds of thousands of clips. EditShare Flow Browse supports proxy viewing outside the nonlinear editing application for optimal viewing on the EditShare Media Space, annotation of metadata forms, and the ability to drag and drop media into an Avid or Final Cut Pro bin.
